The Final Fourteen

September 22 - 27th

The Final Fourteen Parks.

We rode about 1205 miles on about every type of road Tennessee has to offer. Nice weather for the most part. Tuesday morning at Ripley was 41 degrees - the other extreme we saw 89 degrees in Athens. A flat tire in Memphis slowed us down a little but we managed to adjust and get back on our route. The only place we didn't visit as planned was Shiloh because of the flat, but we'll save that for another time.

Day 1

Three parks today - South Cumberland, Henry Horton, and Tim's Ford. Eleven to go,

Day 3

Three parks today, all along the Mississippi. Fort Pillow, Meeman-Shelby, and T.O. Fuller. Most of the day we traveled the Great River Road. Only three parks to go. We would end our day with a flat tire and a tow to the Victory dealer in Memphis. The driver was kind enough to take us to a local hotel.
